It must be distinctly understood that no deported Chinese prisoner conditionally pardoned, is to be put on board a steamer bound for any part of the world, except China.

I would beg to refer to the two letters; as well as showing that where the destination of a Deported is anything more than the ordinary route to Canton.

It was the custom of this Department to communicate with the Colonial Secretary.

I have the honour to enclose for the consideration of His Excellency the Governor a petition of Mang ..., now under sentence of deportation, that he be sent to Shanghai instead of Canton.

The cost of the passage would be, instead of $1...

This man was convicted of stabbing a shipmate, and afterwards escaped with others whilst working on Bonham Road.
